Project Manager

 

Silas Partners is seeking a qualified candidate to serve in the role of Project Manager. Project Managers create a bridge between our clients and the Silas Partners strategy, marketing, design, technology, and implementation teams. They are responsible for successfully executing online communication projects in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Acting as the day-to-day contact for clients, Project Managers have excellent customer-service skills and are able to agilely react to competing demands from multiple projects.

By integrating their understanding of the Christian marketplace with industry best practices for managing complex web projects, Project Managers work to deliver timely and profitable projects that support the strategic objectives for our clients’ online communication goals. They advocate for the clients’ projects internally, engaging the right expertise at the right time, while ensuring that our team is working together well in meeting client objectives.

The ideal candidate will be client-centered, a good listener, well-organized, a strong problem solver, a good communicator, experienced, enthusiastic, and eager to take on responsibility and learn new skills. He/she will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while creating an exciting, fun, teamwork-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for several Silas Partners clients.
  • Manage projects that support overall client objectives, develop project plans, and manage projects to completion.
  • Communicate deadlines and responsibilities clearly to the client.
  • Request appropriate company resources for projects.
  • Engage the right expertise from the Silas staff at the right time and build teams to complete projects on time and on budget.
  • Ensure that all work delivered to a client meets Silas Partners’ high standards for quality, providing feedback to team members, as needed.
  • Manage project documentation as needed.
  • Run regular reports on projects and escalate relevant project information to the Account Executive as needed.
  • Coordinate with technology vendors, as needed, for a positive client experience
  • Develop basic proficiency with member-based, online marketing technologies like Convio and Kintera.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing and share best practices with other Project Managers to help us better serve all of our clients.

  • Problem Solving - Faced with project challenges (relational or technical), you can distill the key items of importance, develop solutions, and communicate the best course of action to your team and the client.
  • Good Communicator - Being client-facing, you can educate clients on complex online marketing or technical topics and help them easily navigate project-related decisions.
  • Team Builder - You are proficient in leading and guiding cross-functional teams, facilitating good communication, both internally and with clients. You lead by example and you’re willing to roll up your sleeves from time to time to get things done.
  • Technically Adept - Deep technical expertise is not required, but you must be able to perform (or quickly learn) basic functions on website platforms.
  • Attention to Detail - You sweat the details, knowing that a great deal of value can be created through work that is not always glamorous.
  • Good Organization - You can manage many different projects without things falling through the cracks. You instinctively know how to prioritize competing demands on your time.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1-3 years experience in a project management role
  • Prior experience working in a web-related field is preferred
  • Prior experience working with non-profit organizations a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project preferred

Local candidates preferred, but out-of-town submissions are welcome. Compensation will be commensurate with abilities and experience.
