Calvary Chapel Grass Valley is a thriving church located in Northern California’s Sierra Foothills. Their vision is to see people living in a right relationship with Jesus Christ – to see people loving God, learning the Bible, serving others, and sharing the Gospel. When we met CCGV, they knew they needed to more accurately reflect the personality of their church to the surrounding community as well as improve their web presence. It has been our privilege to work with CCGV on these challenges in the past months…
The first element that we tackled with CCGV was their logo. Their existing logo communicated their identity but was not versatile enough to be applied to all of their communication efforts. We saw the opportunity to use this time of ideas and innovation on the web as a catalyst for fostering a consistent and unified presence across all CCGV communication. We updated their logo and created a graphic standards guide containing a variety of acceptable orientations and versions. At Silas Partners, we value understanding your ministry as a whole and will jump at the opportunity to address issues and provide solutions that transcend the web.

Next, we embarked on the new website, beginning with a brand new strategy for their site architecture. We listened, brainstormed, organized and collaborated until we had a sitemap custom made for CCGV. In this case, we needed to embrace a very personable approach to web ministry. CCGV is a family atmosphere where the congregation and staff care for one another. The staff is “touchable” and involved in the lives of people. Communicating this relational focus was a primary goal of the site. However, we wanted to not only talk about their community but actually support it on the web. We tackled this through the tone, content, and features on the site.
These special priorities were of course in addition to making sure the site would be an informative and engaging resource for the entire congregation. Users of the site will find information on current announcements, ways to listen to the latest teachings and a library of archives, events, options to sign up for email communication, and more to come in the future.
The church strives to teach well, love people, bring them to worship and make sure they look outward. We are confident that the new site will support that mission and we’re excited about continuing to partner with CCGV. We have already been cooking up ideas on how to build upon this foundation. Over time we’ll be enhancing the site with new features and solutions to meet the evolving needs of CCGV and its visitors.
